A note on the publication, and the space we’re leaving for considered opinions.

Luxury beauty gives us plenty to look at. The Shelf Verdict is a place to look a little closer.

The first product reviews are still to come. For now, the shelves are intentionally empty. A favorite should come with a reason, and a verdict should come from experience.

Here, skincare and fragrance have their own space — and their own Top Shelf. Reviews will consider the details that make using a product an experience: scent, texture, formula, performance, and value.

This is the beginning. There is room on the shelf, and no need to rush to fill it.
